Vampire Regret in Paranormal Romance Series

The word is out that Elena in The Vampire Diaries may not actually stay a vampire in the next season after all. In the novels by L.J. Smith, the vampire transformation happened early enough in the series. Even if it did more or less get undone later. However, in the television show, it isn’t exactly following true. Of course, we all know that when you take a wildly popular YA paranormal romance series like The Vampire Diaries and adapt it for TV, something is going to give.

So here we are, waiting patiently for the other shoe to drop, so to speak. We saw that the vampire blood Elena received has made her a vamp. This transformation is almost becoming a rite of passage in most of the paranormal romance series for television these days.

There was even quite a bit of chat at San Diego ComiCon about the possibility of vampire sex in the next season. At least, when it was mentioned as a possibility, both Ian and Nina blushed clear to their adorable little roots. So – maybe some naked vampire sex in our favorite paranormal romance series on TV these days? Before they kick the vampire out of Elena in some weird way?

I guess we will all just have to stay tuned. I have found some great pics to keep us occupied until then!
