Vampire Film Ending Shocker
For the fans of Twilight, seeing the final get together of the entire cast of the vampire film series at Comic Con was a bitter-sweet experience. Everyone was keenly aware the it was the final time that the cast would be hosting a panel to talk about the films at the convention and even the cast seemed somewhat sad to see it all end.
But they were also happy to talk about the last segment in the vampire film series Twilight: Breaking Dawn. Everyone was telling little stories about the newest co-star playing Renesmee and all seemed quite fun until in the midst of an interview Twilight: Breaking Dawn star Robert Pattison let the secret out that there are some fairly substantial changes to the ending of the film from how it ended in the book.
Apparently the book’s author, Stephanie Meyer was said to have come up with the different ending over dinner with the screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg. Pattison said in the interview that he was not even aware of the change until he was reading the script.
“When I first read the script, I got to that part and was like, ‘What?’ And then I had to go back a page. It does it a serious justice,” the star is quoted saying.
How this different ending will affect the way the film is seen by its fans is anyone’s guess. The story continues with Bella and Edward, who are having a happy life together with their child Renesmee and getting Bella comfortable with her new life as both a wife and mother and as a vampire. The discord comes about when a rumor starts up that Renesmee is an immortal. A battle soon follows with vampire clans from around the world coming to their defense when attempts are made to kill the child.
Pattison was very enthusiastic about the battle scenes, describing them as graceful in one interview and pointing out that battling vampires are a very different thing from battling humans. I guess we will need to wait until November when the vampire film Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part Two is due to come out. Until then, here are some interviews from the Comic Con show to tide you over and the latest trailer for the last vampire film in the series.
