Vampire Diaries Season Four Spoilers

Well we aren’t going to see Elena and crew until October but already there is plenty of chit chat going around the web about what is and isn’t going to happen next season. Recently the Hollywood Reporter talked to Kat Graham about plans for the show. She revealed that “somebody from Bonnie’s ….past makes a surprise appearance” and she hinted that a new character will be introduced who will be a huge influence on Bonnie, and from the sounds of it that someone will be a professor.

Also Vampire Diaries Executive Producer Julie Plec revealed at San Diego ComiCon that April, an old childhood friend of both Elena’s and Jeremy’s, will be returning to town. The word is that she shows up in the second episode “grieving for her father” in an episode called “Memorial”. Hmm, since we know April’s father is in the first episode of this next season of Vampire Diaries, sounds to me like he bites the big one pretty quickly.

What More Is In Store For Elena?

Now we know that one of the big things happening this season is that Elena is about to complete her change into a vampire, as that is the big story for the show right now. When Season 3 ended she was already in transition. Graham claims that in the new season for Vampire Diaries we will see Elena not only go through that transition but also have something far worse happen to her, and pretty much right at the beginning of the season.

More Vampire Love to Come?

So where does this tease from Graham leave the two Salvatore brothers? Is that lovely little triangle love story going to continue into the next season? I sure hope so, it is one of the most interesting plot lines in the series. It sounds to me like we are going to see a new threat to Mystic Falls in the new Vampire Diaries series, and perhaps one we will find we all recognize. We shall have to all just wait until October to see.
