Who is this Annabelle that heals faster than is normal for a human and can sense demons when a human cannot? And what is the cause of her muteness? Soon they are up to their ears in demons that seem to appear as fast as they can kill them. Russell knows that Annabelle is his destined mate, but first he has to find a way for them all to survive. He knows that the key is her voice, that it must somehow be restored. But can he find a way to do it in time?

Awaited is the second paranormal romance book in The Wasteland series, but don’t let that stop you from reading it. You don’t need to have read the first book in the series, Wasteland, to understand and appreciate Russell and all the others in this book. It is a great paranormal romance story, lots of action and the kind of writing that will pull you in quickly. Lynn Rush has learned just what a reader wants when it comes to a vampire romance story, and she delivers it with style in Awaited. I can’t wait to see what happens in the third and final chapter to this series.
