Action-Packed New Vampire Paranormal Romance in Enemy Mine and Enemy Lover
When it comes to a vampire paranormal romance that can break your heart over and over again, this is the one. Karin Harlow may be a newcomer to the world of paranormal vampire romance, but she sure knows how to spin a story that keeps you glued to our Kindle (well, or your book).
There is a mass market paperback version available but I must admit I was so hooked on the storyline from the first book of the series, Enemy Lover that I couldn’t wait to read more about the L.O.S.T. (last option special team) operatives.
The first book in the vampire paranormal romance series, Enemy Lover, introduced us to L.O.S.T. and the action-packed storytelling that Harlow does so well. That action includes plenty of steamy vampire paranormal romance, by the way, just as it does in this one. While Enemy Lover introduced us to Jax, the femme fatale operator who falls in love with the assassin she is supposed to take down, this time around we meet a new set of operatives and the perils they fall into.
Same Group, Different Lovers
In Enemy Mine, we meet Nikko Cruz who has gone through hell and back. When he left behind his very pregnant and happy lover Selena for a job, he returns to find she had aborted the child. In a rage and filled with grief he chokes Selena and is convicted of murder. His prison escape puts him in the hands of the super secret organization L.O.S.T. that tracks down the worst of criminals and he soon finds himself on the hunt for a loose casket of enriched uranium.
It is when he is mortally wounded and lying in a pool of his own blood that he sees the woman he thought he had killed, desperately saving his life by giving him a dose of Rev. What he doesn’t know at the time is that it is a black market vampire blood, along with a few special ingredients. When he wakes he has been transformed and for this particular vampire, paranormal romance is just one part of the new heightened feelings that make him determined to track down the only woman he has ever loved.
A Daemon Lover
But Selena is not all she appears to be, for she is a daemon who works for a variety of creatures who all appear to want the casket of uranium for their own needs. Add to that the problem that the Order, which we were introduced to in the last book, wants her because the Rev she gave to Nikko has been banned, with a death order for any that have it.
Soon the people who want Selena for either the Rev or the uranium begin to pile up in Enemy Mine, as vampires come into the action and Nikki must decide if he can forgive her the deception of who she really is. But then, what of his own sin, of his attempt to kill her?
One Vampire Paranormal Romance to Watch For
This book has a ton of plot twists, surprise turns of events and plenty of suspense, danger and of course tons of hot steamy vampire paranormal romance that will put you in a sweat. You don’t have to have read the previous book to understand this one, Harlow does a good job of filling us all in. Plus the major characters from the last story are minor ones here.
But if you enjoy this one, you might want to pick up the first book to get more of the action. The series follows the exploits of L.O.S.T. operatives, which leaves Harlow plenty of room for new couples, new hot action and lots of danger. If Enemy Mine is any indication of where this series is heading, it will be a fun ride to follow it as she continues the adventures.

I’ve read both of these books and I really enjoyed them! Hopefully Karin is coming out with more!
Barb- I have heard that there will be at least one more book in the series, if not two. Like many of these vampire paranormal series, as along as sales support it she will be doing more.
